* The application for 2024-2025 academic year is open From: October 15, 2023 – To: May 30, 2024.

Continuing Students: Current and former students who were admitted under the Certificate program and now wish to be considered for the Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degree must complete a Bridge Application, so-named because it forms the “bridge” between the Certificate and MTS degree programs. Applications are due during the fall of the third semester of study (Unit III) in order to be considered for the Thesis semester immediately following the completion of coursework (Unit VI). Bridge Applications may be submitted up to 7 years after Certificate completion, but please keep in mind that the Bridge Application deadline is more than one year prior to starting work on your Thesis.

PhD applications are accepted only during even-numbered years (2024, 2026, etc.).

Please note: Attendance at a  Residency in Pennsylvania is required for all first-year students at the start of the academic year. Accepted students will need to make their Residency travel plans – and reservations for lodging and meals at the Antiochian Village – once the online reservation system is available and after they have received notification of their acceptance to the program.

How does the online application work?

First, you will provide your contact information and select the correct application from the drop-down menu below.
↪ You’ll then be prompted to pay the non-refundable application fee by credit card.
↪ Once you click SUBMIT, a link to your full application will be sent to you.
↪ You will be able to return to your application using that link up until the time that you submit your application.
↪ Letters of reference are submitted via the online application portal. You will provide the person’s name and email address in your application, and they will receive a link with instructions for submitting their letter directly into your application via the online portal.

Should I choose the Certificate or MTS application?
If you are a first-time applicant and already hold an undergraduate degree, and your goal is to obtain the Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degree, please select the “Master of Theological Studies (MTS)” application from the drop-down menu. The “Certificate” application is for students who are not planning on pursuing the Thesis and Master’s degree. Course work is the same; MTS students simply have the additional Thesis semester. MDiv and PhD have separate applications.

Cybersecurity Note: The AHOS application is hosted on our highly secure third-party educational management system known as Populi. The application uses 256-bit encryption.
